The MedicVOD system provides the following features:

  • On-line broadcasting

    On-line broadcasting of any high definition video signal connected to a mediCAST unit. The mediCAST unit compresses up to 4 input video signals and sends it over an IP network infrastructure. The signal is optionally viewed by using our unique mediShow application.

  • 3D

    Supporting of 3D broadcasting, viewing, archiving and editing. The MedicVOD system supports anaglyph 3D viewing for all verity of 3D viewing glasses.

  • Archiving

    Archiving of all video signals into a smart and efficient archiving system. The videos are then retrieved and viewed by using the mediSearch application.

  • Medical Catalog

    the ability to create and upload medical files and procedures to an internal organized catalog.

  • Video editing and sharing

    Editing, managing, sharing and processing videos for presentations or re-archiving options. The mediSearch editor provides smart editing options such as title inserts, image inserts and cutting selected slices from the video timeline. MedicVOD also provides comprehensive sharing options such as DVD creation, saving to local files, sending of e-mail and sharing on the Catalog.

  • Still image capturing

    Both on-line still and off-line still image capturing. MedicVOD also provides an option of archiving, printing, e-mailing and sharing of pre captured still images.

  • Talk-Back

    Talk-back into a selected mediCAST unit during an on-line operation. This option provides full video and audio conferencing capabilities which is  used for remote consultation, remote academic viewing and as professional guidelines for the current procedure.

  • On Screen Guideline control

    Remotely drawing a guideline layer over the video while in on-line operation mode. The guideline overlay is bi-directional, e.g.; a mediShow user can draw on the video layer while a mediCAST user can draw on the same layer.   This enables directing each other while using an intuitive, user friendly and sophisticated tool.

  • Barcode reader

    Reading of a bar code image from a patient's worksheets, the operating hospitals' DICOM work list or from the HL7/HIS active connection.

  • Foot pedal

    Controlling of the system using an external foot pedal attached to the mediCAST unit. The foot pedal is equipped with several configurations to activate several commands and tasks in the mediCAST unit.

  • Smart and dynamic tagging system

    Tagging any of the assets and video files which have been stored on the system. The tag is created and fully controlled by the user while using the mediSearch application. Any user may then retrieve or search for assets by using the pre created tags.

  • HIS (Hospital Information System)

    Full connectivity to the Hospital Information System, the OR DICOM work-list or integrated into any other SAP and HL7 existing system.

  • PACS, DICOM and RIS

    Relaying any PACS or DICOM images into a local main PACS of the hospital. MedicVOD also provides an option of viewing any 2D and 3D DICOM images on any mediCAST unit while in the OR or in the mediSearch and mediShow applications. The mediSearch also provides an option of sending selected still images to any pre-defined PACS as DICOM images.

  • Up to 16 simultaneously SD video input signals

    Capturing up to 16 simultaneously SD video inputs signals. The mediCAST unit automatically detects a live input of a video signal and provides an option of switching between active inputs during a live session.
